You are invited to MAKE a difference in someone's life and step up to the plate on Saturday September 25, 2010 at the Shops at Liberty Place . A Hero's Grand Slam event will raise funds for the New Gift of Life Family House in Philadelphia, PA planned Grand Opening late fall 2010.The proceeds raised will be donated to the new Gift of Life Family House. This will be a comfortable place for families to stay while their loved ones are at the hospital awaiting a life-saving organ transplant. The house will provide a room, meals, transportation and counseling for family members of transplant patients.

Drexel University of Medicine and Hahnemann University Hospital are hosting a Health Fair in the Rotunda.  You can get free health screenings, have your health questions answered by one of our staff members or physicians, and get free health information.  Physicians and specialists in the fields of Cancer Prevention, Dermatology, Diabetes, Family Medicine, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, and Thyroid Disease, will be there.  Several doctors from the Drexel Center for Women's Health will be there to answer questions and give free health advice.
